Dr. Sampadananda Mishra, Director, SAFIC was invited to conduct a Sanskrit teachers training programme for the Sanskrit teachers working in the Government schools of Madhya Pradesh. The programme was organised by the Maharshi Patanjali Samskrit Sansthan, Bhopal.

Around 120 aspiring teachers participated in the training programme in which they were explained not only about the teaching methodology, but were also made aware of the importance of Sanskrit learning at the pre-primary (LKG & UKG) and primary level, about the purpose of education, understanding children and the content needed to be given to the children at various age groups.

Two Sanskrit books that were designed for the LKG and UKG students of Madhya Pradesh were explained to the teachers. The teachers were clearly taught of how the content should be easily transferred to the kids so that it remains with them for their life.

As a part of this training programme, the language teaching techniques were explained in detail to the teacher by Dr.  Mishra. The vast career opportunities that are available for Sanksrit were also discussed.  Ms. Saloni Jain assisted Dr. Mishra for the entire programme.

Jagadguru Swami Swaroopananda ji Maharaj, the Shankaracharya of the Dwaraka peeth inaugurated this training programme. As a part of the ritual, Dr. Mishra received the Jnanadeepa (Lamp of Knowledge) from the Swami Swaroopananda ji Maharaj.

On the 3rd of January, a Samvad samaroha was organised by the Maharshi Patanjali Samskrita Sansthan in which four experts were invited to have dialogues with mainstream journalists on topics related to various aspects of Sanskrit. Mr. Shyam Singh Tomar from Patrika, Madhya Pradesh edition, was in conversation with Dr. Mishra on his contributions towards promoting Sanskrit, especially bringing Sanskrit to the children of India. 

After the end of 2-day session, the teachers felt they are taking back with them valuable knowledge that will come along with them in their entire teaching career.
