Sri Aurobindo Society Joins Hands With Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth

On Aug 29, 2019, Sri Aurobindo Society established a partnership, through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be-University) for the common objective of socio-economic and health development of the community.

SBV activities are centered around Education, Healthcare and Research.  It is among the top 5 private medical institutions in India and has been accredited with “A” grade by NAAC.  SBV also ranks 72 by NIRF amongst Universities of India.

The MOU was signed by Dr. A. R. Srinivasan, Registrar, on behalf of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) and Shri Vijay N. Poddar, Member Executive - Administration & Finance on behalf of Sri Aurobindo Society at the University’s campus in Puducherry.

Both these reputed institutions have agreed to undergo various socio-economic and health initiatives for the development of the society at large.  The objective of the agreement is to establish, maintain and enhance the relationship between Sri Aurobindo Society and Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) through a wide range of initiatives

The event began with the SBV anthem and Dr. P. Karthikeyan, Prof & HOD, ENT, MGMCRI, Chariman-Central Collaboration and Consultancy Cell, SBV, welcomed the gathering.  Shri. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Director, Personnel and Admin, introduced the SAS team to the SBV team.  This was followed by the phenomenal event, signing of the MoU by heads of the institutions.  Shri. Vijay Poddar gave the introductory speech.  In his speech, he highlighted the activities of Sri Aurobindo Society and how each individual can contribute for the common cause of Golden Puducherry by 2022.  Prof. Subhash Chandra Parija, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed-to-be University) delivered the keynote address and he expressed his appreciation and acknowledged the soulful activities carried out by SAS.  He also mentioned that this MoU of theirs between SAS is unique and first of its kind as they are going to carry out their social responsibility clubbed with spirituality of SAS. Dr. M. Senthil, Professor, Public Health Dentistry, IGIDS delivered the Vote of thanks.  This remarkable event concluded with the National Anthem.
