COVID-vaccination camp for the staff and the family members of Sri Aurobindo Society was organized on June 14, 2021.

The mounting number of COVID cases in Puducherry is a matter of deep concern. Vaccination is one of the major ways to control the spread and the fatality of the pandemic.

In order to augment Government’s efforts towards a 100% vaccination, Sri Aurobindo Society organized a one-day vaccination camp for its employees and families in its Society’s premises. With diligent efforts of the HR department, the vaccination drive was successfully organized on June 14, 2021, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health, Puducherry.

A 12-member team from the Department of Public Health, Puducherry, comprising of doctors, nurses and midwives, arrived at the Society House around 9:30 a.m. on June 14, 2021.

After the initial registration of the employees and their family members, along with a validation of the vaccination criteria, the eligible members were inoculated. After the jab, they rested under the observation of the nurses for some time, to check for any severe after-effect.

An ambulance with all necessary equipment was available at the premises to rush affected members to the hospital, in case of any emergency.

The well-organized vaccination drive was a great help to the 120 members receiving their vaccination, in the care and comfort of the office environment.

While it is a huge step in ensuring protection to Society’s employees from Covid19, it is also a major contribution to the nationwide effort to control the pandemic.
